Take Control Of Your Life

Take Control Of Your Life!

Gold, bronze, silver medal winners standing on podium

Back in 2006, I was completely delivered of my smoking addiction of 26 years in an instant! The reason I’m telling you about it is because I want you to think about someone or something having control over you.

If you are very strong-willed person, you cannot stand the thought of something or someone controlling you. My husband put it to me like this, he said, “Do you realize that something as small as a cigarette has power over you? If you don’t have at least a pack of cigarettes in the house at night, you will go and buy some before the store closes! Those things are controlling you. Period. End of Story.”

I want you to open your eyes and look around you. Can you make observations about your surroundings objectively? Do you have anything in your life that doesn’t need to be there?

Do you like what you see? Is this where you thought you would be at this point in your life?

When I first started in network marketing many years ago, someone told me that we all needed to do a “check-up from the neck up” occasionally. If you don’t understand the saying, it just means that we all need to figure out where our head is at, sometimes.

If your life is going great, Congratulations!

If you are working on the areas that need help, Good Job! Keep at it!

For those of you that have let things get a little out of control, I want to talk to you!

If you need to make more money, spend less money, BE set free from addiction, have better relationships, need to have your body healed of some ailment, want to see your kids do better, or you can’t handle hearing the news anymore…. Welcome to the real world, right? WRONG! But…let me explain.

Yes, we all have problems but we have a God that is bigger than any problem we can come up with or the enemy can throw at us! When a lot of problems or issues are all piled up in one big pile, they start looking like a monster that can’t be overcome. Don’t focus on them all together. Take them apart and dissect them like you would in an experiment. There are solutions and answers! ALWAYS!

If anyone can get out of this mess, you can! If anybody can be healed, you can. If it can be done, you can do it! If it’s not humanly possible, ask God because nothing is impossible to him. You can take charge of your life and get things back under your control!

Change your mind about something if it’s not working for you. Don’t be stubborn when it’s in your best interest to do something different.

Applying the Word of God to your life is the best gift I could ever give you or you could ever give yourself. Matthew 18:19-20 says,

19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Will you join with me and agree with me for your own prosperity and good health?

Would you agree with me that God has great plans for your life and that you will leave a legacy for your children and your grandchildren?

I pray that you are blessed beyond your wildest dreams, if you will only believe how much Jesus loves you!

  1. This is a great post Michelle. Thinking about something so tiny and unfeeling having control over us really puts things into perspective.

  2. Michelle I love this post and your point about little things controlling you really hit home. I have a really hard time with certain sweets. When I was reading that I was thing of my dark choc chips and picturing a choc chip controlling me is laughable! But some days it feels like my Chocolate addiction does stop me from reaching my dreams I have for my body. I also agree that if we put it before The Lord and seek God first we can overcome anything! Thanks for this post!

    1. I completely understand that picture of the little chocolate chip controlling a whole room full of women, myself included! hahaha We are more than overcomers!
